Hello eveyone!  It's so good to be back with you!  I'm convinced more everyday that truly, Life Is Good!  While the summer was coming to a close in August and September, indeed my performance schedule was heating up.  Starting in August, I returned home to Kansas City and performed at the Hilton Hotel then I came back to the Bay Area to perform at a very nice wedding ceremony.  After the wedding performance, I was off to Atlanta for a show at Borders Bookstore and two shows back in Oakland, Ca.   Whew!!  I'm just waking up from my show in Sacramento last night and now able to update you on the latest happs with my music career.  I also have some new announcements and events coming too, so stay tuned!  In summary, I tell you, it's been a fun ride the last couple of months performing, entertaining and meeting new people.  As well as seeing some old friends who along the way.  There's nothing like that crowd interaction during and after the show.  So many words of encouragement and inspiration during those aftershow conversations.  See detailed latest news, events and announcements below...enjoy!  Donnell

Friday, October 15, 2010 - Borders Books & Music - Elk Grove, CA

Donnell Dantzler plays to adoring crowd at Sacramento Area Borders Books & Music store!

Offering an evening of smooth and relatable R&B grooves, Donnell Dantzler put together a signature performance that entertained guests and drew in many others to hear his original songs about love and life.  Giving a snippet of what inspired him to write some of the songs, Dantzler gave a one hour and fifteen minute performance that brought smiles, moved heads and hearts and provided a feel good experience for all in attendance. 

Wednesday, October 13, 2010 - AT&T United Way Giving Campaign - San Ramon, CA

Using his musical talents to give back, Donnell Dantzler performed at the 2010 AT&T United Way Giving Campaign event for 2010.  Recognizing that sharing his gift can help many causes, Dantzler gave an inspired performance for employees and attendees to help raise funds for the United Way and many other organizations.

Visiting one of the Oakland mainstays for music, Donnell Dantzler stopped by Kimball's Canrnival at Oakland's historic Jack London Square and did an impromptu performance of tracks from his Life Is Good CD. 

Friday, September 10, 2010 - Borders Book & Music - Atlanta, GA

Making a stop thru Atlanta, Dantzler gave a performance at the Buckhead Borders Books & Music store.  Playing to a group of Borders guests and some invited friends, Dantzler entertained the crowd with his signature tracks about life and relationships.  "This show was extra special as a number of my close friends came out to see my show", Dantzler states.

Having the chance to play for family and friends in his hometown of Kansas City doesn't come around often.  So, when the opportunity presented itself for Donnell Dantzler, it was a no branner.  Family got to enjoy a rare live performance by the artist at the Hilton Hotel in Kansas City and spend time just like old times.  "Man, it is always great to come home", said Dantzler.

Donnell Dantzler comes to the end of a busy summer for 2010!  After a super busy first three quarters of 2010, Donnell feels like it's been a good year.  The "Life Is Good" message is getting out and has been warmly embraced by many.  Yet, there's still plenty of room for more to join the revolution, hence there is more to come in the way or tour shows, a remix of the "Life Is Good" song and countless communications to keep the message and movement going strong. 

Up next are performances in Vallejo, CA and Sacramento, CA that will unveil some of the new around around the "Life Is Good" movement.

July is slated to be a busy month.  I have several shows lined up and plan to launch my first very studio webcasts and podcasts this month.  I want to give you the most insightful and intimate experience of myself and my music possible.  Songwriting, music composition, recording and performance all have unique characteristics that warrant sharing to appreciate the entire experiences.  I plan to share some of the intricacies of the process with you.  From the emotions that can initiate heartfelt lyrics to the accuracy and focus of a recording session or performance.  I want you to know about the process to appreciate what really goes into the final product.

Well May is here and summer is ready to kick off soon.  There are number of music events starting to occur and I have a few events taking place this month myself.  Starting today, I will be performing for a children's fundraising event in Oakland, CA, following that with a trip to KC next weekend, May 7-9, where I'm sure to perform "I Wanna Thank You, Momma" as a Mother's Day tribute and then following that with a trip to Chicago to attend the NARM music business conference.  Several other performances will take place this month as well, which will to be announced later.

OAKLAND, CA (Marquis Recordings) — October 6, 2009 — Today Marquis Recordings R&B singer and songwriter, Donnell Dantzler announces the release of two new tracks, “Life Is Good” and “What’s It Gonna Be”, from his upcoming EP CD, “Life Is Good”.  After an extended break from studio recording, Donnell Dantzler brings forth a set of songs that breathe life to new beginnings in love and life itself.   “It feels so good to be back to making music and having the opportunity to perform ‘live’ consistently.  I tend to forget music’s therapeutic effect on me and others, until I complete my songs and share them.”  Donnell stated at a recent scholarship benefit show in Vallejo, CA. “Life Is Good” is a follow-up to Dantzler’s 2003 CD release, “Show Me Love” which gained him notoriety for such singles as “Have You Ever…”, “I Wanna Thank You (Momma)” and the title track, “Show Me Love”.  Looking to continue his string of songs that enlighten, lift and evoke emotion, “’Life Is Good’ is a song and project with a, feel good vibe, that resonates with anyone who has gone through any of life’s challenges.”  “Which is most of us”, the singer added.   Dantzler hopes the release will have a warm reception from an expanded audience and the many that have come to enjoy his music to date.  “I simply do it for the love of music, people and life itself, while all other things take care of themselves.”   The “Life Is Good” and “What’s It Gonna Be” single tracks are available now at www.donnelldantzler.com for immediate download to computers and mobile devices.  The CD versions of the songs will be available later in October on the same website.
